PCH SEARCH FOR NOTING

Published by chefrbme2 at 7:21 am under Uncategorized Edit This

I would like to hear from just one person that has won something of significance from the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. I am not talking about the movie tickets, Home Depot gift certificates and other small items. I’m talking the big ones. Does anyone out there know anyone who has actually won the big bucks? Over the years this has been the one sucker punch I’ve fallen for. I used to get the very thick and rather large envelope in the mail and go through clipping the stamps, licking them, pasting them and submitting my official entry by the deadline. I even upon occasion purchased some of the magazines. It took years to wash it all out of my system and stop getting tons of junk mail as a result of my entries. Then I got a computer and entered online. I faithfully, each and every day submit an entry by using their search engine for some mundane item.

Dreaming and fantasizing are good for us as long as we don’t allow them to overtake us. We all want to win the big one. I’ve never really won anything of significance except for when I was thirteen. I was on a local television dance program called the Buddy Dean Show. It was Baltimore’s version of American Bandstand. Annette Funicello (sp) was the guest this particular day. There was a Pizza Pie eating contest. I won. I went home with numerous cases of free boxed pizza kits; albums autographed by Annette and had a lovely time with her. She is a delightful person. It’s a memory I shall treasure forever.

In the meantime I continue to fantasize the PCH Prize Patrol will show up at my door with the balloons, microphone and giant check for the really big prize. I’ll let you know when it happens.
