JOHN EDWARDS STUPIDITY

Published by chefrbme2 at 10:37 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Well well, imagine, he’s now admitting that it is his baby? What is wrong with these people and what makes them do the stupid things they do. Michael Vick is currently saying “I believe everybody deserves a second chance.” Where is that second chance for Pete Rose. Just how many animals did Rose torture and kill? Back to Edwards. This guy had the world by the tail and lost it all. Coming from, according to him, a poor background he became the most powerful trial lawyer in NC. He was very attractive physically and presented a good image with the public. He had, possibly, the largest most elaborate home in the entire state. He had more money than I could ever imagine having. He was a smart man, to a fault. His fault is he is a liar, cheat and all around stupid ass. He, nor his lover had the good sense to even use birth control?

Hopefully, unlike Clinton, Vick and others, Edwards will not be permitted to make a comeback. This madness must stop somewhere. I agree with Vick that everyone deserves a second chance. Not, however, at the risk of them rubbing it in the face of those that had placed their trust and confidence in them to begin with. Clinton, Sharpton, Jackson, Vick and all other prominent national figures of politics, religion, education and community influence should not be allowed to continue with their second chance on the same level they left it. Pete Rose certainly has not been allowed to do so.

We are way overboard in the glorification of bad boys. We have elevated them to a heroic status. We can shout down our congressional leaders over a proposed health care plan but we do not have the courage to stand up against individual idiot acts that these people have committed. What message is being sent to our young people? What are we pushing them to believe? How far must we push the envelope? I think the envelope has long ago fallen from the desk and we are now trampling all over it. I do not see us reining this type of behavior in any time soon.

The outlandish behavior of our children is evidence of this. From their manner of dress, lack of manners and respect for themselves and elders; tattoos; body piercings and language to their constant use of cell phones, iPods and other technological wonders we have lost control. We have been willing for them to have all the things we did not have yet we are not willing to exercise control over those things.

So we allow the John Edwards of the world to do what they do and have little to any fallout. In order to turn bad behavior around we must first stop it. We then must not further allow it and start the path to recovery. Perhaps, just perhaps, we can take this opportunity to do exactly that. Stop the Bernie Madoff, John Edwards, Michael Vick madness. Stop the stupidity.
